Carrie Underwood to Receive ‘Hero Award’ at 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards

Carrie Underwood will receive the Hero Award at the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards for her humanitarian efforts & dedication to charity.

It’s no secret that Carrie Underwood loves to help others when she can. Because of that, she is set to receive the Hero Award at the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards for her humanitarian efforts and dedication to a variety of charities.

Underwood has consistently used her platform to campaign for causes that she’s passionate about. She founded her own charity in 2009, the C.A.T.S. (Checotah Animal, Town, and School) Foundation. The charity supports different needs in her hometown, Checotah, Oklahoma. Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, are also avid supporters of Danita’s Children, a charity that strives to provide create a positive environment for children in Haiti.

In addition to receiving the Hero Award, Underwood will also be performing her song “The Champion” with Ludacris. “The Champion” was released earlier this year and served as the anthem for the 2018 Super Bowl, as well as being used in the 2018 Winter Olympic games.

The RDMAs are set to take place at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, California on June 22. Fans will be able to watch the awards on Disney Channel on June 23 at 8 PM.
