Carrie Underwood and husband Mike Fisher celebrated an important milestone over the weekend: their 11th wedding anniversary on Saturday, July 10. Both Underwood and Fisher posted on social media to commemorate the event.
Underwood posted a recent selfie of the two of them writing, “Happy anniversary, babe! 11 years sure have flown by…here’s to many, many more! Love you!” Fisher, on the other hand, opted for a throwback photo to their wedding to celebrate their anniversary. The photo shows the young couple smiling as they walk down the aisle after saying their “I dos.”
“Happy anniversary @carrieunderwood hard to believe this was 11 years ago today! Here’s to many more with the best partner I could imagine,” wrote Fisher.
Underwood and Fisher met at one of the singer’s concerts in 2008 and became engaged in 2009. They were married on July 10, 2010 in Greensboro, Georgia. The couple share two sons together, Isaiah and Jacob. The singer and former pro hockey player had some family time with their children at Wind River Ranch in Colorado in late June. Both Underwood and Fisher shared photos from the trip which showed their Western adventures, such as horseback riding, archery and more.
“What a wonderful week we had @windriverranch. We rested, made memories and spent time with other families praising God and all that He has made,” wrote Underwood of the trip, adding that it was a week they “won’t ever forget.”
After a busy year of releasing her latest album, My Savior, Underwood has plans to get back on the road starting July 23rd in Shakopee, Minnesota. The singer also announced a Las Vegas residency called Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency which kicks off December 1.
