Carrie Underwood gave longtime fans a perfect bow-wrapped present with the release of her first-ever Christmas album, My Gift. Her spirit of giving continues with a new special on HBO Max called My Gift: A Christmas Special from Carrie Underwood. Beginning Thursday, December 3, subscribers will get to kick off the holidays with a music-filled special that celebrates the reason for the season.
“Just like the album, I hope this special will help bring some much-needed joy and become part of the soundtrack to people’s holiday festivities this year as it streams throughout the season and beyond,” Underwood shared of her hopes for the timeless broadcast.

The superstar was well known for her many costume changes during her hosting duties for the CMA Awards, and that seems to have carried over to her new Christmas special. From a short silver, beaded fringe number to a flowing blue-green sequined ombré gown complemented with stunning gems to a tiered, gold glitter tulle ballgown, Underwood’s fashion tells just as much a story as her songs do. Get ready to be mesmerized by her festive fits.
The Band: Emmy Award winning musical director (and the Oklahoma native’s longtime friend) Rickey Minor leads a live orchestra during the hour-long special.
