Country superstar Carrie Underwood has been nominated for a pair of spiritually-minded awards, all stemming from her first gospel album, My Savior.

Announced Wednesday (August 11), Underwood has been revealed in two categories for the upcoming Gospel Music Association Dove Awards.

Set for October and marking the Dove Awards’ 52nd annual ceremony, the night will feature one of country’s biggest names in two big fields. Underwood’s My Savior album is nominated Bluegrass/Country/Roots Album of the Year, and likewise, her duet with gospel superstar CeCe Winans, “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” is nominated for Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year.

Underwood is no stranger to the Dove Awards, having won Country Recorded Song of the Year back in 2006 for “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” but this year’s inclusion puts a cap on a true passion project. My Savior was released in March and found the Oklahoma native returning to the hymns and spiritual anthems that helped define her childhood in church, produced by hit maker David Garcia. The album debuted Number One on the Billboard Country chart.

The 52nd Annual GMA Dove Awards will be held live and in-person on October 19 at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena in Nashville, and will be broadcast worldwide on October 22 through TBN.

Meanwhile, Carrie Underwood will expand her first Christmas album his fall, releasing My Gift (Special Edition) on CD/digital September 24 (and on vinyl November 5) with three additional tracks. Her Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency opens December 1 at Resorts World Las Vegas.
