Earlier this week, country stars, including Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, Maddie & Tae and many more, met with campers from the 7th Annual ACM® Lifting Lives® Music Camp in Nashville to help craft a song the campers would later perform onstage at the Grand Ole Opry.

Throughout the week-long experience, campers attended many activities, including a songwriting session with Eric Paslay and songwriter Ross Copperman and acted as radio DJs in the new Seacrest Studios where they interviewed RaeLynn.

“I definitely see how music affects everybody, but it definitely affects the campers,” said Underwood while in the studio with the campers. “Them being able to write a song and record a song and kind of go through all of that in such a short amount of time just shows how excited they are and how dedicated they are and how hard working they are.”

For Maren Morris, the interaction she had with the group was an emotional one.

“They all got up and sang their own song that they wrote a couple days ago,” she said. “I started choking up a little bit because it was so, so beautiful.”
