Two years ago today, Carrie Underwood and husband Mike Fisher welcomed an adorable baby boy into the world. Since then, fans have watched little Isaiah Michael grow into a busy toddler through Underwood’s posts to social media.
Today, the superstar took to Instagram to share a sweet message, along with a cute snap of Isaiah, in honor of his 2nd birthday.

“Where did two years go? My angel is getting so big,” she wrote. “On one hand, it’s so fun to see him learn and grow but on the other, it’s all happening so fast! Happy birthday, little monkey! You are my world…my heart…and I thank God for you each and every day! The two years you have been on this earth have been the best of our lives! Mommy and Daddy love you so much! ❤️️❤️️❤️️”
Underwood is currently in the midst of some well-deserved down time after an extremely busy 2016. The Oklahoma native said she’s taking this time to enjoy “being a mom and being a wife” before figuring the next step in her wildly successful career.
The seven-time GRAMMY winner is back at Country radio now with “The Fighter,” a duet with Keith Urban, and is currently nominated for Entertainer Of The Year and Female Vocalist Of The Year for the upcoming 52nd Annual ACM Awards.
