Carrie Underwood traded the Tennessee winter for some snowy slopes by heading to Vail, Colorado for a ski trip recently. She posted photos from the trip on Instagram showing the group, which included her husband Mike Fisher. Underwood and her friends also brought their kids, who seemed to be having fun decked out in snow suits and ski helmets.

“The past few days have been wonderful,” Underwood writes of the trip on Instagram. “They were days full of incredible skiing, laughs, a few falls and fellowship. We got to watch the kids try new things and succeed…and we even did some of that ourselves!”

In the post, Underwood revealed that they took skiing lessons, and suggested that anyone who goes to Vail use the same instructors as them. The seven-picture post comes two days after Underwood’s first post from the trip: a photo of Fisher and their son, Isaiah, on the slopes.

Underwood has been busy lately readying the release of her first book, Find Your Path, which is out on March 3.  A recent Instagram post showed Underwood receiving her first personal copy and signing pre-ordered copies for fans. Underwood will be getting back onstage in her home state of Oklahoma for a show in Durant on Saturday, March 14. She also has many festival appearances already lined up for the spring and summer.
