Football and country fans have been waiting all day for Sunday night to get the first look at the new open for Sunday Night Football featuring Carrie Underwood on NBC.

The modern musical introduction to the regular NFL season showcased Underwood’s talents with a futuristic flare. Bringing fans together through the power of pre-recorded Zoom recordings and video tapings, the promo provided the new innovative way to tailgate from coast to coast. Underwood’s vocals remained unmatched, as she welcomed in the first SNF match-up of the season between the Los Angeles Rams and the Chicago Bears.

“The wait is finally over. Sunday Night is here. Take us away, @carrieunderwood,” stated the official SNF on NBC Instagram caption for the new intro.

Every year, the network tries to switch up how it pumps up the upcoming football season with Underwood always at the top of the roster. This marked her ninth year with the organization, and she gets just as excited as she did in year one to re-shoot what the crew has in mind.

“Shooting the new show open for Sunday Night Football is one of the highlights of my year. I just love the fact that we get to reinvent it every year. The team behind these shoots is incredible and it’s always a really fun day, especially this year getting to work with such amazing state-of-the-art technology,” Underwood previously said.

Underwood will appear each week before the game, with the intro changing slightly to match the two teams vying against one another.
