Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Little Big Town & Zac Brown Band Win Big at ‘The 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards’

A few Country stars left “Music’s Biggest Night” as big winners.

Carrie Underwood took home her sixth career GRAMMY for Best Country Solo performance for her mega-hit “Blown Away.” The track, written by Josh Kear and Chris Tompkins, also took home the GRAMMY for Best Country Song.

“Country music has always been so good to to me,” Carrie said while accepting the GRAMMY. “I thank the good Lord that I am a part of such a wonderful, talented, amazing family. There’s a lot of people to be thankful for … the fans who have been coming out and supporting us: you guys are the reason we get to do what we do. My family, my amazing, perfect husband. Glory to God! Thank you so much.”

Taylor Swift added another GRAMMY to her collection Sunday evening as well. The superstar took home the award for Best Song Written for Visual Media for her song Safe & Sound, which also featured The Civil Wars. The award was given out during the GRAMMYs pre-telecast ceremony.

Zac Brown Band took home the GRAMMY for Best Country Album for their latest release, Uncaged. Brown got a bit emotional while accepting the GRAMMY during the telecast.

“I want to thank all the people who help us to do what we do, our whole team. I want to thank all of country radio, Southern Ground, all our folks back home,” Zac Brown said during his acceptance speech. “To all my guys who backed me up, and backed my playing no matter what it was … much love to everybody who supports us. Our fans. Our family. We love you.”

Little Big Town capped off a year of firsts (first No.1 single, first CMA Award) with another career milestone. The group took home the GRAMMY for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their summertime anthem “Pontoon.” The award was also handed out during the GRAMMYs pre-telecast ceremony.
