A second round of superstars has been added to the lineup of CMT Celebrates Our Heroes: An Artists of the Year Special, with the at-home tribute show less than a month away.
Now set to include Brandi Carlile, Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Sam Hunt and Tim McGraw, plus actress Kristen Bell and contemporary Christian star Lauren Daigle, the talent-packed “virtual tribute” will feature a night full of performances and heartfelt callouts, all meant to let country’s biggest names “recognize the most vital and inspirational Americans on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Previously announced performers include Brothers Osborne, Florida Georgia Line, Kelsea Ballerini, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett, with all the stars joining the broadcast from their homes.
They and the others will aim to highlight unsung heroes in the fields of Healthcare, Education, Business, Community Leaders, Food Industry, Infrastructure, First Responders, the U.S. Military and more, with producers currently looking for stories of unsung heroes to be included in the show. CMT Celebrates Our Heroes: An Artists of the Year Special will air Wednesday, June 3 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The show is a rebrand of the annual CMT Artists of the Year special and takes the place of the postponed CMT Music Awards, which have been moved to October 14.
