Carrie Underwood is back in the holiday spirit early this year, announcing the upcoming My Gift (Special Edition).

Marking the deluxe follow up to her first ever Christmas album, the project will add three new tracks to Underwood’s original My Gift, arriving on CD/digital formats September 24, and on vinyl November 5.

My Gift is an album I’ve wanted to make from the beginning of my career,” Underwood says of the yuletide set. “It’s been such a blessing to share this special music and I’m excited to share even more with the release of My Gift (Special Edition).”

According to a press statement, the new tracks will include two songs featured on Underwood’s HBO Max Christmas special, plus another Christmastime favorite.

“Favorite Time Of Year” opened My Gift: A Christmas Special From Carrie Underwood — and was also released exclusively as an Amazon Original and featured in Ring’s 2020 Doorbell Season holiday campaign. Underwood co-wrote the tune with Hillary Lindsey and Chris DeStefano.

Likewise, My Gift (Special Edition) also includes “All Is Well” — which was written by Michael W. Smith and Wayne Kirkpatrick and performed by Smith and Underwood at CMA Country Christmas in 2014 — and a live rendition Underwood’s “Let There Be Peace/Something In The Water” medley, which she used to close out the HBO special. Underwood is credited as co-writer on that tune as well, along with Brett James, David Garcia and DeStefano.

Carrie Underwood originally released My Gift on September 25, 2020, and the project promptly hit Number One on multiple charts including Billboard’s Country, Christian and Holiday album lists. Featuring a mix of traditional favorites focused Christmas’ spiritual nature, plus a few originals, the set included included a guest appearance by John Legend on “Hallelujah,” and Underwood’s 5-year-old son, Isaiah, on “Little Drummer Boy.” The country superstar is now featured on a new duet single with Jason Aldean, “If I Didn’t Love You.”
