Casey James Discusses the Evolution of His Music

For any artist, the music they record, release, and write is a compilation of their growth as an artist and a person. This is no different for Casey James, who recently released “Fall Apart,” the first single from his forthcoming sophomore album.

The single, James says, is the perfect way to introduce fans to his new music, while still connecting to his self-titled debut album.

“This is the evolution for me as an artist, and this is the beginning song; it’s the connective tissue to the last record. I feel like if you liked ‘Cryin’ on a Suitcase,’ then you would like the new song, the new single, ‘Fall Apart.’ It’s the bridge, the gap between, and it’s I think the closest song to the previous record, but it’s also an evolution of me as an artist, and it also matches perfectly well with the rest of this record. So, it’s very much a bridge between the two worlds.”

No release date for James’ sophomore album has been set.
