Casey James Parts Ways With Sony Music Nashville

Casey James and his record label, Sony Music Nashville, have parted ways, Nashville Edge confirms.

The singer, who rose to fame on the ninth season of American Idol, signed to the label’s BNA imprint after Idol, but moved to Columbia Records when BNA Records closed.

During his time with the label, Casey released one album and four singles, including “Let’s Don’t Call It A Night” and “Crying on a Suitcase.”

Most recently, the Texas native was at country radio with “Fall Apart,” but the song began to fall off the charts early this summer.

The split between James and the label was reportedly an amicable one.
