This stuff goes down 'smooth.'

It seems like just about every country music star has his or her own wine or spirits product on the market, and some of them are actually quite good. Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard were early arrivals to the celebrity spirit game with their innovative Old Camp Peach Pecan Whiskey in 2016, and they have since grown their line of spirits into a bit of a mini-empire with availability across the country.

While BK and T-Hubb are very serious about their roles as whiskey entrepreneurs and restaurateurs thanks to their extremely popular FGL House in downtown Nashville, Old Camp is all about a casual good time, meant to evoke the feeling of enjoying a pregame tailgate or grilling out with friends and sipping some tasty whiskey. Priced affordably and great consumed alone over ice or as a fruity and nutty addition to creative cocktails, Old Camp is a little lower in proof than most whiskeys you’ll encounter on liquor store shelves.

At 35% alcohol by volume instead of 40%, that just means you can keep your wits about you as you enjoy another pour. (But drink responsibly, friends!) FGL calls the members of their crew and group of friends their “camp,” and it’s been a tradition to raise a toast with them before taking the stage. Hubbard shares, “This ritual is a huge part of FGL and we wanted to develop a drink that feels true to who we are, our roots and the vibes we like to create.”

Old Camp starts with an American whiskey that is aged for at least two years in white American oak barrels that have been charred to release the lovely caramel and vanilla characteristics of the oak into the whiskey. Then the whiskey is infused with natural peach and pecan flavors to create a balanced spirit with nuances of spice and sweetness. Since we’re smack in the middle of the peak season for peaches, we asked the FGL boys for their favorite recipe that showcases the sweet summer fruit. Buy a bottle of Old Camp and mix up a mess of these for some fine porch sitting or poolside sipping.
