Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley and his wife Cassie have welcomed their first child, a baby boy, into the world.
Weighing in at 7lbs., 9oz. and measuring 20 inches long, Ward Charles Kelley made his debut this morning at 9:20 am.
The couple announced the news on Womanista, a website Cassie founded, and also revealed the first photo of baby Ward.
“We can’t stop staring at him and he hasn’t stopped chitchatting with us since he arrived,” the proud new parents told Womanista. “He’s got momma’s nose and daddy’s eyes and vocal cords and a head full of blonde hair.”
Charles and Cassie announced their pregnancy last summer, and also revealed their infertility issues to the world.
“We feel like our life just began today and are so grateful for a healthy baby boy in our arms,” they added.
