Charlie Worsham Announces Baby News In Latest ‘Cover Challenge’

On Tuesday (11/10), Charlie Worsham posted a new #CoverChallenge video in which he is seen recording a cover of Keith Urban’s “Wasted Time.” The song fits what many people have been experiencing in 2020, as the pandemic and quarantine have created quite a bit of extra time. The cover video jumps back and forth between clips of Worsham playing the song and clips of the singer holding up signs with various messages written on them.

In the messages, Worsham talks about the pandemic and all the things he and his wife Kristen have been doing to pass the time, including watching Netflix, baking bread, doing yard work, playing board games, riding bikes, and conducting Zoom meetings. The video also features cartoon animations of each activity. Worsham then shares that he and Kristen are looking forward to a new “project” and an animation of a stork carrying a bag that reads “coming soon” is shown onscreen. The video then shows Worsham and his wife holding up a sign that reads, “We’re expecting a baby!” After the reveal, Worsham finishes out the song with some of his classic guitar solos.

Worsham hinted at the announcement in the description of the video, writing, “The past few months have made for one of the sweetest seasons of mine and Kristen’s life together, and we’re thrilled to share our news with the world.”

Kristen also shared the news on her Instagram page with a photo of her, Charlie, and her baby bump on the beach. She revealed that they’ll be welcoming a boy this spring.

“Baby on the horizon! Baby Boy Worsham, arriving April 2021,” she wrote. “Charlie and I are over the moon!”

In a later post, Worsham again confirmed the news with the same photo Kristen posted and another snap from the beach photoshoot.

“Y’all might have seen the cover challenge reveal/heard the news earlier today.. it’s official.. baby boy Worsham arriving spring 2021,” he wrote.
