Chase Rice is letting out the frustrations that he, and probably most people around the world, are feeling about coronavirus by writing a song to the virus. Rice posted a video of himself singing the song, called “Dear Corona,” on Instagram.

Dear Corona,” he sings in the video. “You don’t know the heart of a country fan. You don’t know that we don’t give a damn. You can reschedule Stagecoach, but you gotta understand that you don’t know the heart of the country fan.”

He continues into the chorus, singing “We’re gonna show up, hold our drinks high, sing them songs about trucks and beer / You’re gonna be met with a big F— you, ‘cause you ain’t welcome here.”

The song is in response to the coronavirus concerns that have effectively canceled or postponed almost every concert and mass gathering all over the country within the past couple of weeks. Country events affected include the Country to Country festival in the UK, the ACM Awards, Stagecoach Festival and many other events. Many artists, including Blake Shelton, Dan + Shay, Chris Stapleton and others, have canceled or postponed individual tour dates or entire tours.
