Although Chase Rice loves to be in the studio recording songs for different records and projects, he’s an artist that prefers what the stage has to offer. The electric feel from the lights and the energetic reactions from the crowd is what he thrives off of to make his music something more.

When Rice heads into the studio, he prepares himself for the mundane task of listening to the same song on repeat for hours. He still enjoys being able to record his sound, but even the country singer admits it can get a tad tedious to over-listen to the music for long periods of time.

“When you take a track in the studio then you hear it on the speakers, and first of all–you hear the hundred times, so at that point of it all starts sounding the same…you know you say the word ‘the’ a hundred times and it starts sounding funny,” Rice said recently.

That’s when Rice turns to his love of the tour life to be able to hear his music come to life in person. He feels as if the magic is restored in the song once he plays it live for the fans who can instantly respond.

“So, you hear the song so many times you think you got it right, you hope you got it right, and then you go play it live. That’s really what matters, that’s when the music really comes to life,” he explained.

Rice will get to experience more of his music coming to life as he goes out on his Everybody We Know Does Tour during the fall. He is currently promoting his new single, “Everybody We Know Does,” which is available for purchase HERE.
