Chase Rice is officially on the road to recovery after going under the knife to repair a torn pectoral muscle that the singer suffered from during a music video shoot.

While filming the “Eyes on You” music video in the California wilderness, Rice ended up doing some damage to his upper body thanks to his dedication to the country craft. Rather than let the injury get the best of him, he managed to schedule an appointment to fix the tear before taking a turn for the worst.

The singer took to social media to give fans the heads-up about his recuperation, while reassuring them that the final cut of the video was on its way out.

“Just showing you here that I got a new addition to my family,” Rice said as he displayed his arm sling on the Instagram video. “I showed you a couple of weeks ago. I was in Mammoth Lakes, California and we shot a music video for ‘Eyes on You.’ I said it was going to be epic and I showed later in the day that it was. I had ice on my chest…so I tore my pec and today I just got surgery for that.”

It won’t be long until Rice will return to the madness of his packed schedule, as he has a show set for this weekend with many others on the horizon this summer.

The “Eyes on You” video will be coming to fans very soon.
