Chesney Reschedules Rain-Shortened Dallas Show

Kenny Chesney has rescheduled his Dallas, TX concert that was cut short due to the rain this pst weekend for May 17. The show will be General Admission at the same venue, with ticket stubs from this past weekend serving as admission for the fans.

“These stadium shows are always one of the highlights of our touring year, and you want to be able to really make this the party of the summer! I was bummed about the weather – and when you’re onstage in it, looking at well over 20,000 who aren’t leaving, who want to stay and hear the music – you know what kind of heart those fans have… So, to me – with the help of everyone involved who’s working with us to make this happen – I’m gonna come back to Dallas and play it the way I wanted to do this show the first time. Let people come and tailgate, have fun with their friends and really get their rock on with us! I’m lucky to have fans who give us as much as ours do – and I want them to know how much that means to us,” Chesney said.

It’s still unsure if there will be any opening acts at the show, but Chesney promises to let fans know as soon as the details are finalized. Chesney says “We’ve extended the invitation to everybody who was on the bill Saturday, and we’re waiting to see who might be available… When we know, we’ll be able to very quick let everybody know down there. For me, though, right now, it’s about me and my fans – and us getting together again to do what we started, the way that Dallas deserves.”

We think this is pretty impressive! Fans at the show seemed to be impressed that Kenny took the stage at all this weekend, let alone play almost an hour long set. We think it’s great that he’s going back to Dallas to make up the show to the fans so quickly – kudos to Kenny and his team!
