After a 15 year career, singer/songwriter Chris Cagle is calling it quits. The "Got My Country On" singer announced his retirement via social media over the weekend.

Singer/songwriter Chris Cagle announced his retirement from Country music via social media yesterday afternoon (Nov. 1). The “Got My Country On” singer revealed that he’s hanging up his after after 15 years of performing.

“I would like to thank everyone for 15 yrs of a great time,” Cagle wrote on Facebook  “From B&D to Flatts and fans!! I’m gonna miss my band and everyone!! All this means.. I’m going home! I’m going to be a Father and a GREAT Husband and enjoy my life! I thank you ALL for everything!”

He later took the conversation to Twitter to express his gratitude to his fans. “I’ve had a great run and would just like to go home with my dignity! #ithankAllofyou

Cagle became known for his songwriting abilities in the early 2000’s and later garnered his own No.1 Billboard Country hit with “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out.” Recently, Cagle has been staying busy on the road performing shows around the U.S.
