Chris Janson is Setting Summer Vibes with ‘Fix a Drink’ EP

Chris Janson is ready to ‘Fix a Drink’ for summer because his latest release is bringing the warmer months into full swing.

Janson’s new five-track Fix A Drink EP features both pop and rock influences, showcasing diverse growth from his “Buy Me a Boat” days. With a track list consisting of tunes like “Redneck Life” and his current single, “Fix a Drink,” Janson set his eyes on transitioning toward a new style while still maintaining the classic country vibes from his previous sound.

“You don’t want to stray from your core audience, but with this album I was able to branch out a little bit. And that all attributes to where I am in my touring life. It attributes to where I am in my musical life, and just frankly sometimes, I get bored doing the same old thing and I want to write different kinds of songs. To be honest with you, I took kind of a pop stance and attitude on a few songs on this album, as well as some really traditional steel guitar country stances, and you mix those two things together, and you get a really, neat, eclectic record that is absolutely branded Chris Janson,” the singer told Sounds Like Nashville and other media at a recent event.

Not only did Janson slide into summer with the brand new release under his belt, he’s also celebrating the good times while out on the 15 in a 30 Tour with Sam Hunt and Maren Morris. Hitting cities all across the country, each artist will create their own vibe for the show for a dynamic set-list throughout the night.

The Fix a Drink EP, which includes the title track, is available everywhere now.
