Chris and Lauren Lane Update Fans After Newborn Son’s Medical Scare

Chris Lane and wife Lauren had a scary moment with their newborn son, Dutton Walker, over the weekend. On Monday, Lane shared with fans via Instagram story that they had been in the hospital overnight with their son.
“If you pray, Dutty Butty needs some prayers,” he wrote.
On Monday night, Lauren updated fans by sharing that they were “home and resting” and revealed that they took Dutton to the hospital due to a suspected ear infection.
“14 hours later we are home and resting,” she wrote on her Instagram story. “Basically [Dutton] has a common virus (basically a cold) and ear infection but with babies so small and under 28 days old they worry about meningitis and do a full work up / spinal tap.”
“Thankfully we just have to give him meds and keep an eye and pray it doesn’t turn respiratory or get any secondary infections,” she added.
Lauren also posted a photo of her son sleeping, thanking fans for their prayers and support during the uncertain time.
“Home and resting! Thanks everyone for the prayers — hopefully we keep resting and getting better,” she wrote.
Chris and Lauren were married in October 2019 and welcomed Dutton, their first child together, on June 8. Since then, Lauren has posted updates and cute photos of their new addition.
“Your dad and I can’t get enough of all 9 pounds of you,” she wrote in the post announcing his birth. “Now back to baby cuddles and praising Jesus over and over again for this little miracle!!”
Prior to the birth of his son, Lane wrote a song called “Ain’t Even Met You Yet,” which describes the love he felt for Dutton before he was even born.
