Chris Lane Helps Fan Pull off Elaborate Surprise Proposal in ‘For Her’ Video
“For Her” is the second single from Lane’s debut album, Girl Problems, and the follow-up to his first-ever No.1 song, “Fix.”
Chris Lane turned a real-life love story into the main subject of his romantic new single “For Her.” Lane, director TK McKamy and a fan named Brandon put the gears in motion to help Brandon have the most memorable surprise proposal right on the set of the video shoot.
“Instead of making up a love story for the music video, I wanted to have a real life, genuine love story, and this is the real deal,” Lane says in the clip. “He’s got the ring.”
The track is one that the North Carolina native has had his eye as a single since recording his new album.
“It’s a song I really love. I call it my Backstreet Boys moment on my record,” he told Sounds Like Nashville recently. “I wanted a song that I could go out there every single night and dedicate to all the girls in the room, even the couples in the room. I make this song all about them.”
