In one of the top categories of the night, Chris Stapleton’s From A Room: Volume 1 won Album of the Year at the 51st Annual CMA Awards. The soft spoken singer took the stage with producer Dave Cobb to accept the trophy and deliver a touching thank you speech as his wife, Morgane, looked on.

“Thank you so much!” he said during his acceptance speech. “Those were so many great records that got mentioned. I’m always humbled by getting these things and I want to thank my wife so much. I want to thank my kids and my kids that are on the way. Thank you Nashville and thank you CMAs and thank you fans. Thank you everybody.”

This is Stapleton’s second honor in the category. He took home the Album of the Year award for Traveller in 2015.

The other albums nominated in the category included Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit’s The Nashville Sound, Miranda Lambert’s The Weight of These Wings, Little Big Town’s The Breaker and Lady Antebellum’s Heart Break.

The 51st Annual CMA Awards are hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood for the 10th year in a row.
