Like Kenny Chesney and Maren Morris, Chris Stapleton has decided to postpone his previously scheduled All-American Road Show Tour. The crooner posted a note to social media, announcing that the tour will take place next year.
“We are very sorry to announced that this year’s All-American Road Show has been postponed & rescheduled for 2021. We’ve made this decision with the healthy and safety of our fans, touring family, and the communities we travel through as our number one priority,” he wrote in part.
“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we all navigate these unusual times,” the note continued. “We miss seeing your faces in the crowd, hearing your voices and sharing the moments that we can only have when we come together in music. We hope to see you next year. Until then we wish you all good health & safety. Stay strong and God bless. Morgane & Chris”
The note went on to mention that the tour’s rescheduled dates at Globe Life Field in Arlington and Wrigley Field in Chicago would be announced as soon as the Major League Baseball 2021 final schedule is released. And though the show previously scheduled for Truist Park in Atlanta has been canceled and tickets will be automatically refunded, Stapleton assured fans that they’d return to Atlanta with details coming at a later time.
Tickets will be honored at all rescheduled dates and for those unable to attend the new date will have 30 days to obtain a refund at the point of purchase.
The decision to reschedule his full tour did not come easy for Stapleton, like Chesney, Morris and George Straig previously expressed.
“No one has tried harder than my team to make the 2020 Chillaxification Tour a reality… Sadly, we can’t find a way to make it safe, to navigate water that’s just not getting any clearer,” wrote Chesney. “For that reason, we have to postpone this year’s tour. We are hoping to have the entire schedule for 2021 finalized quickly. Right now, though, it’s you and me and that’s what matters.”
Morris added that she wrote her note through tears, saying “These months have been a rolling wave of uncertainty, hope and reality. Let’s do this at the right time when we can all be together again. Safe, connected and awake to that fact that live music, as a fan or as the one on stage, is even more precious now. Thank you for understanding.”
