Chris Stapleton Sings From the Heart During Performance of ‘Parachute’ at CMT Awards

Chris Stapleton is always leaving folks speechless and his stellar performance of “Parachute” at the 2016 CMT Music Awards was no different.

Introduced as one to watch at the moment and for the future of country music, he made his mark on the CMT stage in a strong, ever-present way. His country-rock sound vibed throughout the arena as he channeled the good ol’ days with his new single.

The country newcomer has had quite the year, blowing up overnight with his old-fashioned approach to the style of country music. From Grammys to ACM Awards, Stapleton has skyrocketed to the top of the list for making some of the best music within the past year.

Stapleton was nominated for Video of the Year and Performance of the Year, and won the award for Breakthrough Video of the Year for his song, “Fire Away.” He is also on the road this summer with Hank Williams Jr. joining along on select dates.
