Chris Stapleton booked his second appearance on Saturday Night Live just over two years after his debut performance. Featured as the musical guest for the Will Ferrell-hosted episode, the country crooner did what he does best…. play incredible songs from his catalog. Stapleton wasn’t alone, however, as he was joined by singer/songwriter Sturgill Simpson for two unforgettable performances.

Taking the stage in Studio 8H, Stapleton and Simpson showed off their insane talent with two songs: “Midnight Train to Memphis” and “Hard Livin’,” both of which appear on Stapleton’s latest record, From A Room: Volume 2.

Stapleton is currently in New York City as he prepares for the 60th GRAMMY Awards, where he is nominated for three awards, including Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Song, and Best Country Album for From A Room: Volume 1. He’ll also take the stage once again for what’s sure to be a stand-out performance fans won’t soon forget.

The 60th GRAMMY Awards, hosted by James Corden, will take place at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Jan. 28, 2018, airing live on CBS from 7:30–11 p.m. ET/4:30–8 p.m. PT.
