It’s a huge win for Chris Stapleton as he is taking home the trophy for the CMA Male Vocalist of the Year for the second time.

Stapleton has been reigning over the country music genre with his authentic raspy voice, which became a big hit on his smash record, Traveller.

“Well, if Dolly was still back there, I would give her my time. But tonight, I’ve gotten to be a fan so much tonight and what a wonderful night and what a wonderful show they put together. I’ve cried just watching everybody and the music I grew up on. I want to thank everybody and it means so much to get to be a part of country music. Country music, these are the best people in the world. All of the fans and all of the people that make it too, they are wonderful people. I want them all to know that,” said Stapleton graciously.

Stapleton beat out Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Tim McGraw and Keith Urban for the title.

The 50th Annual CMA Awards are hosted by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley. See everything that went down during tonight’s show HERE.
