Chris Young and Cassadee Pope Talk Football

With the big Super Bowl 50 right around the corner, tour mates Chris Young and Cassadee Pope took a time out to talk about some football. And let’s just say Pope may need to brush up on her pigskin lingo, to say the least.

In the hilarious minute-long video posted on Young’s Facebook page, he lets Pope take the lead in telling the fans a little bit about the rules. And, well, she may not be the football fan most people assume country singers are.

“I know stuff, I know stuff,” she reassures Young as he giggles to himself. “I know that if you get a first and ten, that’s a good thing.”

While Pope may have been right about that, she proceeds to confuse the point system of field goals and struggle through how much a team scores for a touchdown. Talk about throwing a flag for the foul.

The two are in the midst of the I’m Comin’ Over Tour, hitting cities around the U.S. throughout the next couple months. They may know how to sing a great duet together, but maybe Young should take the time backstage to teach Pope the ways of football before she fumbles her way through the terms.
