Kane Brown and Chris Young took the famous Ryman Auditorium stage for their performance of “Famous Friends” at the 56th Annual ACM Awards on Sunday, April 18th. The performance began with Young at the microphone with his guitar singing the first verse of the song. Brown then appeared, walking down the center aisle of the auditorium to join Young on the hallowed stage. The two then sang the rest of the feel-good tune together while multicolored lights shone around them and a visual of TV screens flashed behind them.

“I’ve got some famous friends you’ve probably never heard of / Back in Rutherford County our crowd is second to none / You might not know ‘em here in this big city we’re in / But when I go back home I’ve got some famous friends,” they sang in the heart-pounding chorus.

The duo longtime friends recently debuted their music video for the upbeat track, which included a rooftop performance and plenty of appearances of their personal friends.

“I can’t imagine a more perfect video for ‘Famous Friends’” Young said. “Peter [Zavadil] knocked it out of the park on this one! I had a blast seeing my friends on set, and that rooftop performance with Kane is some of the most fun I’ve had in a video.”
