The couple announced the happy news to fans via Instagram, with Wicks giving updates along the way on his Stories. Just hours after he posted an enigmatic Boomerang from what looked like the hospital, the country singer surprised followers with a photo of the three of them.
“Well…. he’s HERE!!!!! Meet Tucker Elliott Wicks!!! @kasirosa and I are beside ourselves with so much joy and love for our baby boy!!! Thank you for giving us a minute to get a picture out to ya. He was born at 2:30pm yesterday on December 4th and he’s as healthy as an Ox,” Wicks said joyfully in the post.
Born with the name, Tucker Elliot, Wicks reflected upon their new addition and the journey the couple took together in order to receive the ultimate gift.
“The feelings that are going through me having a son and holding him for the first time skin to skin yesterday… well…. I just lost it. Thank you so much for all your messages and support. Specially through our IVF journey if you’ve followed. We won’t be stingy with pics and videos of Little Tucker!!! Lol. It was pretty nice having about 16 hours with Tucker alone just me and mama,” he continued, adding the rest of the family was meeting Tucker for the first time today.
Wicks and Kasi announced they were expecting back in June of 2020, revealing to fans they were within the 15% of couple who experienced infertility and turned to IVF treatments to start a family.
The couple gave the egg transfer a try in March and discovered they were pregnant just eight days later.
This marks the couple’s first child together. Kasi has three daughters of her own from a previous marriage: 21-year-old Mackenzie, 19-year-old Madison and 9-year-old Avery. Mackenzie and Madison were adopted by Kasi and her ex-husband during their marriage.
Adding to the fun and excitement of the week, Wicks also just released a new track, “Old With You,” which fans can stream now.
