Clay Walker Preps For Band Against MS Ride

Dust off those helmets and grease up those tire chains! It’s almost time for the fourth annual Band Against MS Ride and Clay Walker is gearing up yet again for the charity event.

The bike ride will begin on March 26 in Humble, Texas with the finish line cycled back around in the same town. Walker has been involved with the event every year and is thrilled to lace up his best biking shoes for a cause he loves dearly.

“This event holds a special place in my heart because it combines two of my favorite things, cycling and raising awareness for multiple sclerosis,” said Walker in a press release recently. “Over the last three years, all of the people who have taken part in the ride have expressed their gratitude for this event, and I am so excited we are able to do it again this year.”

Band Against MS was founded by Walker about 13 years ago because he was diagnosed in 1996 and wanted to be able to bring light to a cause many people struggle with on a day-to-day basis. Despite his remission with the disease, Walker wants to let people know how tough it is to battle with MS and how to encourage those diagnosed to fight on. The Band Against MS charity ride itself has seen 1,000 participants and is hoping for an even bigger turnout this year.

From the newest bike riders to well-experienced cyclists, everyone of any skill level is welcome to sign up for the ride. Different routes of easier or harder capabilities are listed on the Band Against MS website and more registration details can be found online as well.
