CMA Donates Nearly $3 Million To Nashville Community

The Country Music Association has announced that this year’s CMA Music Festival raised $2.9 million that will be given back to the Nashville community. The CMA typically donates half of the festival’s proceeds to their “Keep The Music Playing” education program, a tradition which they continued this year. The other half, which typically goes to the CMA, was donated to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to assist in the ongoing flood relief efforts.

Kix Brooks, Luke Bryan and Karen Fairchild (Little Big Town) were on hand at today’s ceremony in downtown Nashville at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to make the check presentations.
