CMA Songwriters Series Returns to Joe’s Pub November 3

CMA Songwriters Series once again returns to New York City’s Joe’s Pub, on Thursday, Nov. 3 (6:30 and 9:00 PM/ET). Tickets for the popular series will go on sale Thursday, Sept. 22.

Featuring Platinum-selling Rodney Atkins, the artist responsible for such No. 1 hits as “If You’re Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows),” “Watching You,” “These Are My People,” and “Cleaning This Gun,” the CMA Songwriters Series allows music fans insight into the stories behind some of their favorite songs.

“The way I started playing music was sitting around with friends and singing songs,” said Atkins. “I love good ‘ol fashioned guitar pulls. These writers are the best and it’s amazing to hear the stories behind the incredible songs they’ve written. I’m very excited and honored to be a part of this event in the Big Apple at Joe’s.”

Joining Johnson will be Dave Berg (“Stupid Boy” recorded by Keith Urban, “Somebody” recorded by Reba McEntire, and “Moments” recorded by Emerson Drive), and Marla Cannon-Goodman (“The Fool” recorded by Lee Ann Womack, “Ten Rounds with Jose Cuervo” recorded by Tracy Byrd, and “Don’t Make Me” recorded by Blake Shelton). Bob DiPiero (“Southern Voice” recorded by Tim McGraw, “Blue Clear Sky” recorded by George Strait, and “You Can’t Take the Honky Tonk Out of the Girl” recorded by Brooks & Dunn) will serve as host for the evening.

Tickets for the Nov. 3 CMA Songwriters Series at Joe’s Pub are $40 for VIP seating and $30 for reserved. Tickets will go on sale Thursday, Sept. 22 at 2:00 PM/ET.
