CMA Songwriters Series Returns to Library of Congress

Patty Loveless will perform at the “CMA Songwriters Series” on Nov. 16 at the Library of Congress

The wildly popular CMA Songwriters Series will return to the Library of Congress’ Coolidge Auditorium on Wednesday, Nov. 16.

“The Library of Congress is home to some of America’s greatest treasures,” said CMA Chief Executive Officer Steve Moore. “I can think of no better place to showcase some of Nashville’s greatest treasures, our incomparable songwriters.”

“We are delighted to have the Country Music Association as our long-term partner in bringing so many major country artists to the Library,” said Susan H. Vita, chief of the Library’s Music Division. “This is the second year of our collaboration in presenting some of the nation’s most notable songwriters and performers.”

Featuring Clint Black, Patty Loveless, Tim Nichols and host Bob DiPiero, the CMA Songwriters Series allows fans an intimate glimpse into the stories behind some of their favorite songs.
