The King of Country Music, George Strait, is vying for the coveted title of ACM Entertainer of the Year. The award, which is determined by fans’ votes, will be handed out at the close of Sunday’s 49th Annual ACM Awards.
Strait is undoubtedly one of country music’s living legends. Among his countless accomplishments over the past few decades, Strait recently made history when he became the first music artist in history, regardless of genre, to place 60 songs at the top of the charts.The iconic singer is closing out his touring career with the final leg of his sold-out 2014 Cowboy Rides Away Tour next month. We can’t think of a better way to send off The King than with an ACM Entertainer of the Year Award!
