The premise of CMT Crossroads allows for artists from two different worlds to combine their sounds in one dynamic hour-long special. This time around, Luke Combs will make magic with soulful singer Leon Bridges in an upcoming episode of the series.

Combs will lend his gritty voice and tongue-in-cheek lyrics to the mix on his hits like “When It Rains It Pours” and “Hurricane,” while Bridges plans to provide a sense of R&B through his groovy vocals on his own catalogue of songs. Blending the genres together for an authentic experience that could change the artists’ careers, the two guys hope for a partnership to arise during the taping of the show.

Banking on the popularity of CMA Music Festival, CMT will tape the performances just before the weekend begins on June 5 right in the heart of Nashville. Fans can flock to the corner of 5th Avenue South and Demonbreun Street to catch a glimpse of the action when the cameras begin rolling at 8:30 p.m. CST. Viewers are encouraged to arrive early just to snag a spot in the standing-room only crowd.

CMT Crossroads has brought together a number of spirited artists, including Kacey Musgraves and Katy Perry, Thomas Rhett and Nick Jonas, Sugarland and Bon Jovi, Reba and Kelly Clarkson and so many more spectacular collaborations.

The CMT Crossroads episode, featuring Combs and Bridges, will air on Thursday, June 28, at 10 p.m. EST on CMT.
