CMT’s Katie Cook is a married woman! The TV host exchanged vows with longtime boyfriend, musician and producer Adam Shoenfeld in front of 300 guests on Dec. 17 during a Winter Wonderland themed wedding, PEOPLE reports.
Among the guests were the couple’s children from previous relationships. Each stood on the stage during the ceremony, while also partaking in special tasks for the day. Cook’s 11-year-old daughter Daisy Rocket and Shoenfeld’s 11-year-old son Hawke acted as ring bearers. Additionally, Shoenfeld’s 14-year-old daughter Sophia performed “At Last” during the reception for the newlyweds first dance.
“Adam makes my life better in every possible way; he always has my back and is my biggest supporter. I am extremely proud to be by his side,” Cook shared with PEOPLE. “He is a loving stepfather to my Daisy and my whole family adores him. My stepchildren, Sophia and Hawke, are so lovely and talented; my heart is full when we are all together.”
“Our forties and fifties are going to make our twenties and thirties look boring!” added Shoenfeld, who has previously toured with Tim McGraw. “I know that the rest of our life together is going to be an adventure. It’s on.”
The ceremony and reception were held in downtown Nashville at FGL House, and featured vegan and vegetarian dishes catered by the restaurant. The 300 guests were treated to special gift bags containing Big Machine Vodka, Goo-Goo clusters, and a CD featuring music from the couple’s musical duo, SunKat.
Hints of Music City were sprinkled throughout the evening including a moment when Cook and Shoenfeld were surprised with a congratulatory message from Nashville mayor Megan Barry, who happened to be driving by as they exited the reception.
The couple will kick-off their married life together with a romantic honeymoon on the beaches of Antigua.
