Even in the charming town of Nashville, drama falls upon anybody that hopes to live their dreams in Music City.

CMT’s new original reality drama series showcases the lives of a group of young folks following their paths in the Southern metropolis, as made by the same creator of MTV hit shows, The Hills and Laguna Beach. While some power through the tough life of being a struggling musician, others balance relationships with work that leaves the creatives traveling non-stop. But at the end of the day, it’s the heart of Nashville that grounds them and helps set their sights for what’s next.

In the new sneak peek trailer of Music City, Rachyl and her husband Kerry continually fight over his absentee lifestyle from touring and trying to take care of a family together. As Kerry books another set of gigs away from town, Rachyl combats tears of frustration while somewhat supporting her husband’s dreams.

“I didn’t really sign up for this. I didn’t sign up to be by myself in Nashville,” Rachyl pleads to Kerry in the promo.

Meanwhile, Jessica meets Jackson when they get put together on a blind date by Rachyl. Despite immediate attraction to one another, Jessica gets nervous to tell Jackson the truth about her morals in case he freaks out over her good girl persona.

A musician by the name of Alisa also makes her appearance in the preview footage, in which she finds guidance to keep working hard for her dream of making it big in music despite doubting her abilities.

Music City debuts on Thursday, March 1, at 10 p.m. EST on CMT.
