Cole Swindell Earns Fifth Chart-Topper With ‘You Should Be Here’

Cole Swindell notched his fifth consecutive No.1 single today as his heart-wrenching hit, “You Should Be Here” tops Billboard’s Country Chart. Co-written by Swindell and Ashley Gorley, “You Should Be Here” also marks the Georgia native’s eighth chart-topper as a songwriter.

Swindell learned the news while backstage at the Grand Ole Opry where he played this past weekend alongside the legendary Loretta Lynn.

“Finding out that you have the No. 1 song in the country while backstage at the Grand Ole Opry is the coolest feeling in the world,” said Swindell to Billboard. “This song is so special to me, and just hearing fans’ stories and the way country radio has embraced it is amazing. I’m a lucky guy and I know my Dad is smiling down right now, so proud.”

“You Should Be Here” is the lead single and title track from Swindell’s forthcoming album, due out May 6th.

As Swindell gears up for the album release, he’s teaming up with the USO to celebrate its 75th anniversary. Now through May 31, fans can gift a digital copy of You Should Be Here to an active service member by pre-ordering an album on Cole’s official website. Click HERE for more details.
