Cole Swindell Reveals His Holiday Plans

Cole Swindell’s life has been a whirlwind for the past few months. While he’s thoroughly enjoying headlining his own Down Home Tour, the “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey” singer is looking forward to heading home to Georgia for the holidays.

“I’m going to get to go home…finally,” he tells CountryMusicIsLove. “I was in New York for Thanksgiving, which was super cool. My mom just had back surgery, though, so I’m going to get to spend time with her. I’m not sure how long, because we have to start rehearsing for the Jason Aldean tour. We’ll start doing that in January. I’m just going to hang with the family and get to see my nieces and nephews. The people that have loved me long before anyone knew who I was. I’m looking forward to getting some rest on my grandma’s couch.”

Cole’s got big plans for Christmas Eve and looking forward to a lazy Christmas Day. “We do Christmas Eve with all the family,” he explains. “We get together and do the whole thing with the kids. Christmas Day, I’ll probably stay with my mom and my grandmother, and we’ll probably do a dinner that night. It’s always fun for me, because they all have children. I get to watch all the children.”

While kids are cool, we know it’s really the Christmas ham that Cole is anticipating. “Around Christmas time, I always get a Honeybaked Ham to save and make a ton of sandwiches,” he admits. “That’s all I eat. Maybe I can get a Honeybaked Ham endorsement. [laughs]”

And if he doesn’t OD on that baked goodness, you’ll be able to see Cole on Jason Aldean’s Burn it Down tour in 2015.
