"We find something green to where and put on a show, maybe have some Irish beer and whatever. But if it's another excuse to have fun, I'm in,” Swindell admitted.

Break out your green clothing and wish on a four-leaf clover because St. Patrick’s Day is on its merry way in!

Although the holiday may not fall under the same popularity like that of Thanksgiving and Christmas, it gives many a reason to celebrate regardless of their Irish heritage. Someone who will raise a beer to the March holiday will be Cole Swindell, as he grew up heavily surrounded by the traditions coming from a Georgia town that honors the day in full force.

Swindell typically has a show on the big day, but he tries to squeeze in a cheers to the Irish life every St. Patrick’s Day when he can.

“I’ll have a Guinness on St. Patrick’s Day probably. I was born in Savannah originally, so they always have a huge, huge St. Patrick’s Day parade and it’s a mess down there. So usually since I’ve moved up here though I’ve usually had shows on St. Patrick’s Day, but those are always some of the most fun shows. We find something green to where and put on a show, maybe have some Irish beer and whatever. But if it’s another excuse to have fun, I’m in,” Swindell admitted to Sounds Like Nashville during a recent interview.

This spring, Swindell is on his Reason to Drink Tour with Lauren Alaina and Chris Janson, but St. Patrick’s Day will definitely give him a special ‘reason to drink’ for the holiday.

Swindell’s current single sent to radio, “Break Up in the End,” will be featured on his upcoming third album. No word yet on when his next record will come to stores.
