Superstar Collaborations Revealed for 2017 CMT Music Awards

The 2017 CMT Music Awards are shaping up to be one of the best one’s yet. After announcing a venue change for this year’s festivities, CMT is revealing some of the superstar cross-genre performances fans can expect during the show.

Three-time nominees this year Florida Georgia Line will perform with The Chainsmokers. The two duo’s recently collaborated together for The Chainsmokers debut album for the song “Last Day Alive.”

“I think it’s an emotional song, maybe a little bit dark, but I think it’s a hopeful song,” Brian Kelley previously said of the song. “I think people are going to jam their frickin’ faces off to this song.”

Also on the lineup for the CMA Awards is a collaboration between Lady Antebellum and the iconic R&B group Earth, Wind & Fire. Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood will perform their smash hit “The Fighter” together as well. Urban and Underwood are currently nominated for Collaborative Video of the Year for the track.

The new acts join previously announced performers  Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett. Nashville’s Charles Esten will also take on the role of host for the night’s festivities. Additional performers and presenters are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
