The August 16, 2011 “Colt Ford & Friends” Athens, Georgia benefit concert held at Georgia Theatre featuring Ford alongside Rhett Akins, Jason Aldean, Dallas Davidson, Mike Dekle, Edwin McCain, James Otto, and special guests Rachel Farley, Brantley Gilbert, and Corey Smith successfully raised $85,000 and counting to benefit NobleHeroes Foundation in an effort to supply much needed help to the families of fallen Senior Police Officer Elmer “Buddy” Christian and wounded Senior Officer Tony Howard.
“A community came together for a great cause,” says Ford. “I’m just happy we were able to put some smiles on the faces of the family members who have gone through so much this year already.”
Ford hopes his community and fans will continue to pay tribute to the heroes with endless support for NobleHeroes as well as prayers and assistance to the families.
