Forget head colds and fevers—the worst kind of sickness that could ever plague a person has got to be a case of the bottle flu. From the grueling aches and pains that rock your head after a crazy night of having a little too much to drink, it’s the daunting task of curing something like a hangover that even leaves the hottest country stars at a loss for finding the best healing process.

As many of the artists have dealt with their share of nights out on the town, they gave Sounds Like Nashville their A-list expertise on how to get rid of the nightmare we all know as hangovers. While some suggested the typical remedies like ‘hair of the dog’ or keeping hydrated, others mentioned some random and yet still helpful ideas to try out during the aftereffect.

“Ok, you wake up. You get some water in you first. And then two, you go to Pedialyte. You gotta go unflavored ‘cause you get that sugar in your system, it screws it all up. You go unflavored Pedialyte. If you’re smart enough and you’re not drunk enough to drink it before you go to bed, you’ll wake up feeling like a million bucks,” Dan Smyers of Dan + Shay revealed to SLN.

Zach Swon from The Swon Brothers, though, had quite the alternative mixture of goods to ease the tension.

“Dill pickles, Gatorade and Ibuprofen. Works every time,” he admitted.
