Country Stars Make Their Predictions for 2011 World Series

The final sign of summer drawing to a close begins tonight when Major League Baseball’s World Series kicks-off between the Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals. Country music has some baseball fans among it’s top artists and some of them shared with us their predictions of who will take home baseball’s top honor.
Die-hard baseball and St. Louis Cardinals fan, David Nail is pretty pumped for this years World Series. “Growing up in Southeast Missouri, most, if not all, of our so called vacations were one day trips to St. Louis for Cardinal games,” David tells CountryMusicIsLove. “Now having had the opportunity to get to know many in the organization, my love for this team and city has only amplified! Cardinals in 6!”
Heading over to the other side, JT Hodges is naturally rooting for the Texas Rangers since they’re his hometown team. “My Home Team, no brainer,” JT shares. “I have suffered through many years of hardship and am hoping this second time World Series run is a charm. Charge Rangers!!”
Davis Music Group’s Jacob Lyda is cheering for the Rangers along with JT, telling us “I am rooting for the Texas Rangers. They deserve a win after all these years!”
Scotty McCreery, who will sing the National Anthem before tonight’s game, is rooting for the Texas Rangers, while his “American Idol” pal Lauren Alaina is taking a more casual approach. “I don’t really have time to watch TV anymore, but whoever my daddy’s pulling for, that’s who I’m going to go for!,” Lauren tells us.
The Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals will play a best-of-seven series to determine who will become the World Series champions for 2011. You can tune in on FOX beginning tonight at 8:05pm ET.
