Craig Morgan Wants YOUR Autograph at CMA Fest

Turning the tables on fans coming to the CMA Music Festival in search of star’s signatures, Craig Morgan and Jack Daniel’s, in partnership with the USO, will be asking for their ‘autograph’ on messages of support for our nation’s servicemen and women.

The effort is part of the Jack Daniel’s “Toast to the Troops” campaign and the messages collected will be put in special care packages for our military serving overseas during upcoming stuffing parties held this summer by the distillery and the USO.

Morgan, who has been part of Toast to the Troops since it began in 2005, will make an appearance at the Jack Daniel’s display inside Fan Fair Hall on Thursday, June 7th from 1:30p.m.-2:30p.m. The toast cards will be collected at the display throughout the CMA Music Festival.

“Obviously, I’m more than happy to take a photo and sign anything my fans would like during the CMA Music Festival, but what I really want is for them to sign a message of support for our troops,” said Morgan. “Even though more and more of our troops are coming home, there are still thousands serving our nation in harm’s way. We want them to know that they have our unconditional love and support, and signing a Toast card is one small way to demonstrate that.”

Since the first Toast to the Troops event at Fort Campbell, Jack Daniel’s and the USO have held 15 stuffing events across the country and sent more than 160,000 Operation USO Care Packages to our troops serving overseas. In addition to the Toast card message of support, the packages include items requested by service members, such as prepaid international calling cards, toiletries, sunscreen, playing cards, disposable cameras and snacks.

“We are so thankful for the outpouring of support we’ve witnessed for our troops through the Toast program, and we’re appreciative of every Toast card we’re able to collect,” said Jennifer Powell, Senior Brand Manager for Jack Daniel’s. “We hope everyone will come out, sign a card and we’ll make sure they get to our troops serving overseas.”

Prior to becoming a country music and TV sensation, Morgan also spent over 10 years of active duty in the Army and an additional nine years in the Army Reserves. He is an avid supporter of America’s military personnel and a recipient of the 2006 USO Merit Award.

“Jack Daniels continues to be a fantastic friend to the USO,” said Kelli Seely, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer. “Since 2005, these events have proven an opportunity for the community to demonstrate their support for our nation’s men and women in uniform.”
