NASCAR icon Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife, Amy, have welcomed the birth of their second daughter.

Announcing the news on an episode of his Dale Jr. Download podcast on Thursday (October 15), Earnhardt said the baby’s name is Nicole Lorraine Earnhardt, and she was born on Monday (October 12).

“Many people are wondering why this episode of the Download is late this week,” Earnhardt’s Instagram page states. “Well there’s a good reason.”

Nicole joins big sister Isla Rose, who was born in April of 2018, and according to Nascar.com the new baby’s name is a family callback — Nicole is Amy’s middle name, and Lorraine is Earnhardt Jr.’s mother Brenda’s middle name. Earnhardt retired from racing in 2017 and now serves as an analyst for NBC Sports. The family thankfully survived a scary plane crash last year with only minor bumps and bruises.

Congrats to the happy and healthy family!
