Dan + Shay brought their heartfelt ballad “Glad You Exist” to the 2021 ACM Awards stage. The duo performed the song from the iconic Bluebird Café stage in Nashville, TN, opting for a stripped-down version with Dan Smyers providing acoustic guitar instrumentation and vocals and Shay Mooney showing off his diverse range. The duo is known for their seamless harmonies and this performance was no different, as their voices melded together on every line of the positive song. As they sang, purple spotlights, string lights, and the famous Bluebird neon light shone behind them.

“This song has taken on a new meaning not being able to see our loved ones in person, but throughout history, music has always had a special way of bringing people together, even when we are furthest apart,” the duo said of the track. “These words hold a special place in our hearts, and hopefully they will in yours too. We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again (and again). We’re just so glad you exist. Every. Single. One of you.”

“Glad You Exist” has quickly become a fan favorite, with many reaching out to the duo for an acoustic version to use for weddings and other special occasions. Smyers and Mooney quickly answered the call to action and confirmed that an acoustic version is on its way.
